Mary B. Addison killed a baby.

Allegedly. She didn’t say much in that first interview with detectives, and the media filled in the only blanks that mattered: A white baby had died while under the care of a church-going black woman and her nine-year-old daughter. The public convicted Mary and the jury made it official. But did she do it? She wouldn’t say. Read More »

Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story. Read More »

For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist.

But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. It turns out, though, that Real Max is nothing like Dream Max, and getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped.

When their dreams start to bleed dangerously into their waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough?

MY THOUGHTS

Dreamology is the kind of book that will easily get a reader’s attention. Because, first, look at that gorgeous cover! And second, its concept is extremely unique and intriguing. This was quite a fun read, playful and dream-filled, cute and lighthearted. The thing I like most out of this book though is its humor. There were a couple of issues I had on the way, but hell if it didn’t put a smile on my face!Read More »

Only, who is he? As Lily attempts to unravel the mystery and juggle school, friends, crushes, and her crazy family, she discovers that matters of the heart can’t always be spelled out…

MY THOUGHTS

Letters were safe. They were words, easy to read if enjoyable and stop reading if hurtful. Letters didn’t stare at me like he was staring at me now, full of fire.

This is YA contemporary at its cutest, funniest and loveliest form! I didn’t thought I‘d rate this book this high because most of the books I’ve read from this genre just doesn’t hold my attention for long. But this, oh boy, I sacrificed five hours of good night sleep for this!

What follows is a powerful and shocking love story between two unlikely people that asks tough questions, reminding us of all the ugly and wonderful things that life has to offer.

MY THOUGHTS

Well, true love exists. But sometimes, time is a bitch that tries to ruin it for you.

I needed to collect myself after this one. It totally owned me. And it kind of made me question everything –my feelings, my reaction, my judgments. I read books mostly for entertainment. Sometimes, I read to visit places I’ll never see. Other times, I read to live some people’s lives that have no resemblance to mine and this book was surprisingly good at giving me that. Gritty, unsettling, and daring, this book is something I wouldn’t normally read… and love, but here I am so eager to give this a five star.  Read More »

Blurb from Goodreads:

Edward (long live the king) is the King of England. He’s also dying, which is inconvenient, as he’s only sixteen and he’d much rather be planning for his first kiss than considering who will inherit his crown…Jane (reads too many books) is Edward’s cousin, and far more interested in books than romance.
